Catching up on your blogs….because well, I just can’t keep up lately. I adored Nobody Wants This, felt like millennial porn to me as Adam Brody is an emotionally available male who can ‘handle her’ and says so. She’s delightful. Loved the siblings. My heart sank when Esther sat with a grieving Rebecca in the car. I just loved so many moments in the show. Can’t wait for more character development!! As a non Jew, I caught onto less of the stereotypes I suppose.

Netflix has already ordered a second season and I'm so happy we're going to get more of it. I'm happy you liked it, too - it was a real treat of a show.

I am definitely going to watch Nobody Wants This and will report back! I also am adding the earlier Paul Tremblay books to my TBR, I haven't read him before!

I have to admit, I loved Nobody Wants This—feeling the whole time that it’s both outdated and stereotypical. I’m glad to have read the Esther Zuckerman piece, and I hope the next season does better—and also looking forward to seeing Tovah Feldshuh get more of a chance to show her range. Hope so!

Tovah Feldshuh is so good as the mom in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend! This scene lives in my head rent-free: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJg1zRgkbno

Why does Nicole Kidman wear so many wigs do you think? thinning hair? Not wanting to style/dye it constantly? (Not a judgement no matter what, i'm just curious.)

I think it could be thinning hair but the more likely reason is that she doesn't want to deal with the heat styling and dye for different roles. But like, there are good wigs out there, and none of them seem to make it onto her head?
