I'm so PUMPED to start reading This Summer Will Be Different!! I need to finish a book today and then I'll do it! I'm also so looking forward to the Nicole Kidman/Zac Efron rom-com - I used to pick up Tana French, especially her Into the Woods books, but I have kind of abandoned her. I'll add it into my queue.
Oooh I'm excited to check out Kinds of Kindness and ahhh I loved The Likeness!! <3 <3 I think I've read the whole series or maybe I'm missing one book, that was one of my favorites I think.
I just put Lyz Lenz’s book in my library queue. And I’m so happy to see a Tana French book reviewed— I don’t read detective fiction, with the exception of French. I really like her a lot.
Am I crazy - or does A Family Affair actually look SO funny?! I feel like Joey King and Zac Efron genuinely made me laugh in the trailer! Have been really wanting to sit down and watch the Comedy Actress Roundtable. Oh, and your husband watching The Bear without you would TOTALLY be grounds for divorce!!!
I received a phone call while reading the “What I’m Looking Forward To” section and briefly thought that Zach Efron was going to be in a Yorgos Lanthimos film. And I was like, “…let’s go? Let’s fucking go?” It would have been wild.
Excited to check out these novels, and must say, I agree with you on the Lyz Lenz book. I read it and got it, and while she made some important points, it may have worked better as a memoir of her own marriage and choices than marriage in general.
I really think there was a lot of potential and it just felt half-baked to me! I wonder if she had more distance from it, it would have been different, too - I often feel this about memoirs that attempt to capture a person's recent history.

Can't wait to hear what you think about the Fortune book!

I totally think it looks funny and I hope that's the case! I just feel like Netflix has burned me lately on the romcom front, so I'm very wary.

This made me CACKLE but also I think I'm going to try to ~manifest~ this for 2025!

Would love to know what you think when you get to it!
